Pork Meat from roast

We drained the pork and took out the remaining good meat, shown in the picture to left.  We will use it in sandwiches or with our eggs in the morning.  

We had to toss the little bit of extremely fatty pieces, shown in the picture to right.  I am sure we can find a use for them, but I just haven't had a chance to really investigate all the uses yet. Stay tuned!

Pork Fat and Broth

Pork broth and fat from pork roast

We put the liquid in a mason jar with a little water.  Once it hardens a little, we will scrape the top part off and toss.  (see picture below.) This leaves the clear gelatinous par​t for broth and gravy. The fattiest part on the bottom will be mixed in with our venison to make our ground venison fattier.
