Rice Pudding

My husband and I took a cooking class in India, and this was one of the foods we cooked.

The rice pudding should be a little runnier than oatmeal. I do not measure for this and just eyeball it. Hopefully the pictures below will help guide you.

In this recipe, I used yogurt and maple syrup. You can get creative with what dairy and sweetener you use.  Add the rice, sweetener, and dairy to your blender.  Blend slightly.  Transfer to a pan to heat before serving. I am sure you could microwave it, but my husband will not let us get a microwave.  I don't think microwaves are as bad as he thinks, but I support him. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I always serve it with raisins and some type of nut.

This is a super easy and enjoyable breakfast for everyone and is a great way to use up any extra rice.
