Custom Made Shelving

This shelf was made back in 2011. It has been sanded and stained.  We've used it both vertically and horizontally for endless storage, so I would love to share the steps of how to build it!  I know it's a bit dirty but that's also a testament to how well-constructed this piece is.  It's seen a lot but remains sturdy!

Completed shelf

The shelves and sides are made from gluing two pieces of wood together.  I like the live edge.  You can easily find tips on gluing wood together with clamps if you’re unsure how to do this.

Top of the shelving unit:

Side of the shelving unit:

Then glue all shelving to the sides.

Add the top with nails.

Reinforce the rest of the shelves with nails.
